Hey everyone! We're past the half way point in the week already, I feel like an old woman moaning about how fast time goes but I genuinely can't believe it sometimes. 'Hump day' needs some fun nails to brighten it up (although hump day is technically over in the UK). For these nails I was playing around further with the L'Oreal Color Riche L'Huille collection* (review here), and I decided to create some marble nails using this tutorial from The Nailasaurus. I wasn't 100% happy with the finished product, so I decided that adding flowers over the top would brighten things up a bit. I'm still undecided on whether these are a nail fail or not, but they've definitely grown on me so I wanted to post them nevertheless.
For my base I used L'Oreal - Blanc De Lune*, then I used L'Oreal - Greige Amoureux* and L'Oreal Noir Oxyde* for the marble with a clear jelly stamper. Then I used Barry M - Orange Fizz* from the lolly gloss collection for the main flower, and added Barry M - Purple Pop* (from the same collection) to the centre. I used the brush from the bottle for this. For the dots I used my Winstonia striping brush* and the leaves, which were done using Essie - Off Tropic* were also done using this brush. Finished off with a coat of Seche Vite, and whilst that was drying I added a Swarowski Crystal from All That Jazz to my ring finger.
What do you think? Let me know in the comments!

ReplyDeleteI LOVE this - an unexpected combo, but that's what makes it so good :)
ReplyDeleteI honestly think this is one of my favorite manis of yours! The marble does look really good but the flowers really complete the look. So cool!!
ReplyDeleteNope, never a fail! These are lovely, I love the colours, the contrast of the marble against the flowers, everything.
