Hey everyone! Today I have my review of the gorgeous new Barry M Sunset Daylight Curing collection*, which are claimed to (as the name suggests) 'cure' in daylight. They are supposed to be harder and last longer than regular nail polish, but they are still removed the same. Alongside curing in natural daylight, these polishes also cure under regular artificial lighting. Which is good for night owls like me! They also contain the new wider brush that was seen in the recent Speedy Quick Dry collection. Normally I'm not a fan of wide brushes but I honestly love these, it just makes application so much easier.
The collection consists of seven new colours and a matching topcoat. The polishes do not work without the topcoat, and the topcoat cannot be used to make other polishes (outside the range) cure in daylight. I wasn't sure what to expect from this collection, for me they would either be a complete failure or something completely new and brilliant. I'm happy to report that I think they're the latter. Whilst there isn't a great colour selection in my opinion, all of these polishes dry quickly (and they really are dry, not just touch dry), and they're all great for nail art. In fact you'll see quite a few of them as bases for nail art in the next few weeks. The speed that they dry at makes it a lot better to use them as a base colour as the polish doesn't drag.
First up is Drive Me Navy*, which I would describe as the perfect navy. Most navy polishes I own are quite difficult to distinguish from black polishes, but this isn't an issue here. It also wasn't a problem to clean up, which I was expecting. With careful application this is a one-coat polish, all fingers have one coat here, except my pointer finger which has two. It dried fast and shiny. Shown without topcoat.
Next is For the Stars* which is a lovely coral-pink. This is the only one without a colour in the title, I can't work out why! Shown here is 2 thin coats. I did debate whether to put 3 coats as it seemed patchy in places but it wasn't too bad, and it's not noticeable in the images. This is without topcoat
Fuchsia Generation* is a beautiful deep red/fuchsia. This was 2 very easy coats without topcoat, and again clean up was very easily, which can sometimes be an issue with this shade of polish
Next up is I've Been Pinkin'*, best described as a barbie pink. This was 2 coats. I actually found this to be the hardest to apply out of the collection, the nails were patchy in places and I had to reapply a couple of nails. I feel that this might just be because I was rushing though. Shown without topcoat
Make Me Teal* is a also a two coater. It dried fast and shiny and again wasn't an issue to clean up like most teals. This is shown without topcoat
I expected Out Of My Red* to be a jelly with the first coat, but the second coat makes it most definitely a creme. Like the rest, this dried very fast and shiny. Shown without topcoat
Finally, is my favourite from the collection, Like A Nude*, a gorgeous creamy white nude. This was 3 thin coats, and it was very easy to apply. It dried quickly, in fact it was hard in minutes. This is with the Daylight Curing Topcoat* and that was also very fast drying.
Overall I'm really impressed with the collection, they're definitely worth checking out. These retail at £4.99 each, and the topcoat is sold separately, also priced at £4.99. You can get them from Boots, Superdrug, or the Barry M Website.
My favourites from the collection are probably Like a Nude* and Drive Me Navy*, what are yours? Let me know in the comments!

I dunno why but I simply love any colour on your nails, no matter if its with a design or without. I just love the shortness, your nails are too cute!
