Hey everyone! Sorry for the radio silence this week, I've been hard at work actually writing my dissertation. Yes, actual words. I've spent so long researching that it's actually kind of relieving to be writing it now, and I've already written 6000 words, which is more than half way there. I'm on track to be finished a week early, where I can hopefully finally catch up with all my blogging-related things! I'm so excited to finally be done. Anyway, today's nails are done using the new Mineral Crush* collection from Avon, I was really impressed with these actually and the gradient was so easy to create with them. They are textured, which I'm not a huge fan of, but I just added topcoat and I think they look great now. I always love textured polishes that just look awesome with topcoat.

Orange Pastel Paisley with River Island
Hey everyone! Today I have something a little different to show you. I've come together with River Island to do some nails based on their new Spring/Summer pastel collections. It's been a while since I tried any paisley. I wish that I'd done the detailing in a lighter colour to keep with the pastel theme, but at the same time I like how they came out. My inspiration for these nails and information on how to create them is after the jump!

Mani Swap with Dahlia Nails
Hey everyone! It's been a while since my mani swap with Dahlia Nails (which you can see here), and we decided that it was probably time to do a new one. If you haven't of Dahlia Nails, it's run by two lovely ladies, Jo and Emma. They're both great at nail art and you can check out their blog here. I was actually having trouble picking a design to recreate because there's so many I like! In the end I chose to recreate their 'Spring Dotticure' design. They've recreated my Negative Space Florals and my Spotted Owl designs, and they've both done them brilliantly. I think it's a nice/funny coincidence that me and Emma chose such similar designs to recreate!

There's Gold at The End of The Rainbow - Tutorial with Divine Caroline
Hey everyone! This is my second post for today because I ended up creating two designs for St. Patricks day. I wanted to post them on the actual day, but it's just made it seem like I'm spamming you so maybe next time I'll post them the day before or something! These nails were created for Divine Caroline. I'm not a massive fan of how the shamrocks turned out, I feel like I rushed them a bit, but I like the pots of gold so I thought I'd still post them. If you want to learn how to create these you can check out the tutorial here.

St Patrick's Day Shamrocks for Avon
Hey everyone! I'm going to be posting twice tonight because I have two St. Patrick's day nails to show you. I hope you've all had a good day for those who celebrate, and for those who don't, hopefully you had a good tuesday! I've started planning/writing my dissertation today and it all feels a bit more real of a sudden, I'm scared! Hopefully it will be over with soon and I can be back to being a normal human being instead of a hermit.
I used a base of Avon - Drive In*, and then I used Avon - Envy* for the shamrocks.

Happy Clouds
Hey everyone! A very very quick post from me today because I'm off to bed, but enjoy these cute little smiley clouds I created for Avon using Avon - Sea Breeze. They're cute and so so simple to create if you're looking for something quick and effective. Sorry for the rushed post, I have a couple of exciting things coming up this week if all goes to plan, including a mani swap, so be on the look out for those!

Be Happy with Avon
Hey everyone! Today's been a bit of a rough day for me. I haven't got any particular reason, do you ever have those days when you just feel down for no reason? Well, I do, and I'm blaming it this time on the fact that it's Friday 13th. However, I have plenty of reasons to smile and be happy and although it's easy to forget that sometimes, these nails are an easy reminder! The bright background colour definitely helped to brighten my mood. Especially when it's started snowing again and it's supposed to be spring ... will it ever stop?!
The base for these was Avon - Lemon Sugar, and then I used acrylic paint for the detailing, finished off with a coat of Seche Vite.

Tutorial: Matte Two-Toned Ruffian Studs for Divine Caroline
Hey everyone! It's been a busy few days of dissertation and essay writing, but I finally have a minute to sit down and write a post. Today's nails are some that I created for a tutorial for Divine Caroline, which you can see here. I wanted to create something a little different, I've never tried 'ruffian' nails before and I wanted to do them half and half. I loved how they turned out but unfortunately they shrunk after I took photos and I had to take them off because they looked awful. I dont know how to prevent shrinking at the top of my nail at all, because I can't exactly wrap it, like you do with the tip. Any tips?
Dont forget to check out the steps on how to create this here.

Simple Pink Polka Dots
Hey everyone! Today I've just got a really simple polka dot design for you all. It's nothing you haven't all seen a million times, but I think polka dots never fail to impress. I just wanted something quick and simple considering I don't have much free time at the moment, and I've been surprised at how much I've ended up loving these, I cant stop staring at my nails! They also make me look a shade darker than a ghost for once thanks to the lightness of the pink, so that's always a bonus.

London Fashion Week Nail Art for Avon
Hey everyone! I feel like the end is in sight for my dissertation research, I'm going to start writing it tomorrow and I feel so relieved to almost be done. I say almost, but I still have to actually write 10,000 words. Anyway, I'm a bit late to the party with these nails, I actually created them for last London Fashion Week but I never had the chance to post them, and then I completely forgot about them this time round. So I've decided to post them anyway, they're effective as just London nails if you ignore the little finger anyway!
