Hey everyone! I've had a busy day of dissertation research, applying for graduate jobs and work today, so I thought I'd take a bit of time out and post, at 2am. I find that it's so hard for me to get started in writing a post, but once I'm writing it it's completely fine, procrastination at it's finest I suppose! Today's nails are ones quite similar to some you've seen before (although they are a bit different as there's less glitter involved!). That's because we recreated them at nail art society last week, and it was so fun to revisit an old design and mix it up a bit. Although I still think the old design is better! Also... are the flowers white and gold or blue and black? (Sorry I couldn't resist! I'm definitely on team white and gold though). For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, where have you been?

Tutorial Tuesday: Mod Flowers for Avon
Hey everyone! I had such a lovely weekend away, me and my boyfriend went to Chester for the weekend and went to the zoo. Not everyone's ideal weekend but perfect for us, I'm sad to have to come back and accept that the next few weeks are just going to be a slog of dissertation work. I'm on the final push now, despite a mini-breakdown last week, so fingers crossed that it all goes to plan. Today's nails are these simple mod flowers. I've been surprised at how many comments I've got on these in the past couple of days of wearing them, I didn't think they were that interesting but it appears that they stand out a lot more than I thought! I've also done a tutorial for you all so you can create these yourself

Chinese New Year Cherry Blossom for Avon
Hey everyone! Happy Chinese New Year to those of you who celebrate it. I've collaborated with Avon to do some simple cherry blossom nails for the day. I know cherry blossom has been done a thousand times, but I think it always looks nice and it's an easy design to create but still have it look good! These didn't take long at all, probably around 20 minutes, despite the fact that I was distracted watching Call The Midwife whilst I did them. It feels like the only time I get to watch TV anymore is when I'm painting my nails, but it definitely slows me down. Tomorrow I'm going away for the weekend with my boyfriend and I can't wait, but it does mean that there might be radio silence from me for a couple of days I'm afraid!

Gelish Cinderella Hearts
Hey everyone! I have some more belated valentine's day nail art for you today. I was in the process of swatching the Gelish Cinderella Collection* and I just couldn't resist adding some nail art using the new Barry M Quick Dry shades*. (All of which I'm hoping to have finished swatching ASAP). Then I couldn't decide on a colour for the hearts so I just went with a variety. These ended up being the nails that I was wearing on valentines day itself, and I think they're sufficiently girly enough!

I Whaley Love You
Hey everyone! Sorry about the late valentines post, I decided to spend valentines day off the internet. I finally had some inspiration for some nails and I couldn't wait to do them. I got a birthday card from my friend saying 'have a whaley good time' and it gave me the idea for these valentines nails. I intended to do quite a few punny nails for valentines day this year but ended up not having time, but one design is better than none. Maybe I'll do them anyway, just not for valentines day.

Valentines Nude for Avon
Hey everyone! I hope you've all had an okay Friday 13th and nothing too drastic has happened to you, and you're all looking forward to valentines day tomorrow. I definitely am, and I can't wait to show you the designs I've created. As always I've left it until the last minute to post, so I will have two designs for you tomorrow, and one today. Today's design is just a simple heart design I created for Avon.

Just another gradient
Hey everyone! I started back at uni today, I've had eight weeks off over christmas (it was 4 weeks and then 4 weeks of exam period for those who are currently saying 'whaaaat?'), and it's very odd to be back, but nice to have a bit of routine again. As always I've left it until late to post on here so I'm going to leave you with these simple gradient nails I created for Avon and go to sleep! I have some valentines nails coming in the next couple of days and I'm going to try and get another design done before the weekend as well, I have so many ideas but not enough time to create them in which is so frustrating.

Negative Space Chevrons for Avon
Hey everyone! Today I just have some super simple nail art to show you all. I must admit these looked a lot more effective in person than they do in the pictures, but hopefully you get the gist. All you need is a basecoat, one colour, some tape, and a topcoat. I applied the basecoat, and once that was dry I cut my cellotape into triangles and applied to the top of my nail, then I painted my nails as usual, removed the tape, and added topcoat. Voila! I got a lot of compliments on these when I was wearing them, and I think they'd also look great with pastel colours, considering spring is on its way (supposedly).

Review Week, Day 5: Barry M Limited Edition For Tesco 2014 - Twilight
Hey everyone! Surprise, surprise, the last day of review week is another day late, but at least it exists! The last and final review (from the pictures I discovered on my laptop that I'd forgotten to post) is Twilight* by Barry M, a limited edition shade created for Tesco, which you can luckily still get here for £3.99.

Review Week, Day 4: OPI - Nordic Collection Autumn 2014 Swatches
Hey everyone! So after my positive words on Friday about managing to post every day, I missed last night, oops. In my defence, I was celebrating my 21st birthday (again) so I didn't really have the chance. Today's (or should I say yesterday's) post is half of the OPI Nordic collection. This collection is a few months old so you might have already seen swatches but I absolutely love them so I had to show you them anyway.
