Saran Wrap Outline + Tutorial for Barry M

Hey everyone! I know I said that this week would be Barry M week but once again life has got in the way! I'll be posting the posts I intended to post tomorrow and sunday, as I still need to swatch them. Instead today I'm showing you another tutorial I created for Barry M. I debated over whether or not to post this, as the response on Barry M's Facebook page was incredibly negative, but this page is a record of the designs I've created, and I personally really like the design, so here you go: saran wrap outlines!

I used Barry M - Miami as the base, and then I used Barry M - Rosehip over the top, and the Barry M black nail art pen for the outline

Steps:
Step 1: Paint your nails with your base colour
Step 2: Once the base is dry, paint a thick coat of your next colour. Do this one nail at a time because you’ll have to be quick
Step 3: Create a ball out of cling film (as can be seen in the 3rd image) and dab this lightly on to the wet colour you’ve applied. Repeat this on all of your nails
Step 4: Clean up around the edges using the Barry M – Clean up pen and apply topcoat to smooth out the design
Step 5: Using the black nail art pen, draw carefully around the edge of your nail. Once dry, apply topcoat.

What do you think? Let me know in the comments!

  3. Went and read the Facebook comments - some people are just rude. Never stop what you do because of others opinions. You are brilliant at what you do!

  4. Well we love these. The black outline adds some interest and people can always recreate the look themselves without it. Last year the Lass Bible printed some of our nails - without crediting - and the comments were SO rude it was unbelieveable but we still printed them on the blog. If you like it, why not?! 6. I really love these Alice - I'm really happy you posted them! I saw the negative comments you received for this design and I couldn't believe them - they were so rude! I think the black outline really helps the design to stand out - it contrasts really well with the delicacy of the saran wrap colour scheme! Miami and Rosehip go perfectly together too! :)
