Hey everyone! Today is the last day of the month so that means a brand new Nailvengers Assemble post. This month's them is florals, and we all know my love of floral nail art, so I was excited to do these nails. Be sure to check out Lucy, Sammy, Amelia and Allie to see what they did for the theme too! Also, don't forget to like our Facebook page. My design isn't particularly unique or impressive, but I think it's subtlety is why I like it so much. I wore these for a good few days which is unlike me and I was sad to take them off!

Review Week, Day 5: Models Own Fruit Pastels 2014 Collection Swatches
Hey everyone! It's the last day of review week today, and I have yet another Models Own review for you. It seems like this has been more a Models Own week than anything else but they've released so many amazing products recently that I just couldn't resist! Today's post is the gorgeous new Fruit Pastel polishes they've released recently to add-on to their previous collection. These are scented polishes, in the colours Coconut Cream* and Peach Melba*, and I absolutely love the scents! Of course, if you read my recent review of the Barry M Summer Gelly collection you'll have noticed that there's a very similar shade to Coconut Cream in there, unhelpfully also named Coconut, it appears that great minds think alike! So below I have compared both of them for you, along with OPI - My Vampire is Buff

Review Week, Day 4: Models Own Microdots and Hypergel Topcoat Swatches
Hey everyone! We're almost at the end of review week, and today I have another Models Own review for you. This time I've reviewing the new Microdots* nail polish, and their brand new Hypergel Topcoat*. Ever since I saw Microdots I've been so excited to try it, and when it finally popped through my door I was super happy, and it doesn't disappoint. Although I was slightly miffed to find out that they're not dots, but hex glitters! Nevertheless, it's still an interesting and unique polish.

Review Week, Day 3: Jacava London Swatches and Nail Art
Hey everyone! I'm ashamed to say I almost forgot to post today. It's 2am here and I was in bed with the lights off when I suddenly remembered I hadn't posted today's review, oops! Anyway, today's review is of a couple of Jacava London polishes: their Matte Topcoat*, and Vanilla Slice.* I was sent a few of their polishes to try out, so I'm sure you'll be seeing more around sooner or later, but these are the two that stood out to me straight away and I knew I had to try them. Once I'd mattified vanilla slice I also wanted to add a design to them, so I recycled my old 'Owl Be Yours' manicure slightly and added some polka dots and hearts. I've been wanting to redo owls for a while now so I'm really glad how these turned out

Review Week, Day 2: Deborah Lippmann Spring Reveries 2014 Collection Swatches
Hey everyone! I'm back to day 2 of review week, this time with some Deborah Lippmann polishes. You may have seen my previous reviews here, and here, which included some of the Spring Reveries collection, and now I'm back to show you the rest of the collection. I have loved the polishes I've tried so far, and these are no different. We all know my love of pastels so this collection is just perfect for me!

Review Week, Day 1: Models Own Polish For Tans Collection 2014 Swatches
Hey everyone! In case you missed my announcement yesterday, this week I'm going to be doing another review week as I have so many polishes to show you. Today's post is a well-overdue review of the Models Own Polish for Tans collection*. I've had these polishes sat in my review pile for quite a while, and I must admit I'd been quite reluctant to try them. As you will have seen from my pictures, I am not a tanned person, and mistakenly I believed that these were only really suitable for people with tans. I was, however, completely wrong, and I have fallen in love with these polishes. The collection consists of 5 colours, three of which I received to review. I was also slightly put off but how similar the colours looked in the bottle to each other, but once I got them on the nail I was in love with each and every one of them. My gradient from yesterday demonstrates how wearable these polishes are. They also made my hands look particularly tanned, even though I definitely am not!

Models Own - Polish For Tans Gradient
Hey everyone! I have an announcement, of sorts. Tomorrow I will be starting another 'review week' as once again I have tonnes of reviews to post, and posting every other day with nail art interspersed just means that they get delayed even longer, so I will be posting every day next week with reviews. I'll try and throw a bit of nail art your way too because I know that's the main reason you're here, but I'm sure you'll love the awesome stuff I have coming your way!
The first review will be Models Own - Polish For Tans*, and to start you off I have some nail art using Beach Bag. I wore these nails for almost a week (and I did both hands!) and I was quite sad to take them off. They're simple but they were so bright and summery I just couldn't stop staring at them. Of course, because they're neon my camera didn't really show how awesome they are, it just looks like a bright peachy colour, but I promise you these are AMAZING in person.
The base for these was 2 coats of Models Own - Beach Bag*, and then I used Graffiti Nails - Ice White and a sponge to create a gradient, topped off with a coat of Seche Vite

Paisley Pens for Barry M
Hey everyone! A while ago Barry M got in contact with me to ask if I would be willing to have my designs featured on Barry M stands in Superdrug. Of course I absolutely jumped at the chance, and I was so so excited when I went in to Superdrug and saw my designs for the first time. They asked me to create one more design using their nail art pens, and then they wanted to use one of my original designs too (which I know many of you have already spotted on stands!). The design I decided to create is this simple paisley design, it took barely any time to do at all and it looks great, especially on different coloured base colours, or you could even do a gradient if you prefer!

Coral Bees for Avon
Hey everyone! Today's nails are some cute bees I did at the request of Avon. I love bee nails, they stand out a lot and they look pretty cool too. I had more compliments wearing these than I have had for a long time, which I was surprised about, because to me they're a bit too simple. Anyway, rather than the usual baby blue base that tends to be used for these nails, I decided to do a coral base instead, because why the hell not? Coral is a great colour for spring and summer, and I haven't used it in a while, so here we go!
The base for these nails was Avon - Coral Reef, then I used Avon - Lemon Sugar for the bee with black and white acrylic paint, all topped off with a coat of Seche Vite

Barry M Summer 2014 Gelly Nail Polish Collection - Swatches and Review
Hey everyone! Today I have the absolutely gorgeous new Barry M Summer Gelly collection to show you. When I first saw this collection I thought it seemed a bit mismatched, and I wasn't entirely sure if the colours worked together, but now I've seen them in person I definitely think they all work well together. There are a lot of really unique and gorgeous colours that definitely deserve a chance. The collection includes my new favourite off-white polish, as you'll see below, so that alone is enough to make the collection my favourite!

Swapping Designs with Dahlia Nails
Hey everyone! Today's post is something a little different, a design swap with the lovely girls over at Dahlia Nails. They each recreated one of my designs, and I recreated one of theirs. They've recreated by Rob Ryan nails and my Pink Leopard nails so you can click HERE to go see that. For my recreation, I chose this gorgeous triangle design. I was trying to choose between a few designs that I really liked (and may still do), but something about this one just stood out to me.

OPI Muppets Most Wanted Spring 2014 Collection Swatches and Review
Hey everyone! Today I have a much overdue review, I've had these polishes for nearly a month now and I just havent had time to swatch them because of this horrible essay. But 5000 words and a lot of tears (only kidding) later, I am finally free to do some reviewing, until I start revising for exams at least! Today's review is the OPI Muppets Most Wanted Collection, which also doubles up as their 'soft' shades collection for this year. I'm reviewing four of the shades for you today, but there are eight overall in the collection.

Barry M Gradient Dots
Hey everyone! Just a quick post from me today cos I'm so so stressed about coursework and I really need to get back to it. Just one more month and it will all be over for this year thankfully! Today's nails are more from my university nail art society, which you can read more about here. I'll post a picture at the end of the group's nails, I love how we all chose completely different colours and they all work so well together, although the picture is a bit blurry!
The base of these is Barry M - Huckleberry, then I used a sponge with Barry M - Prickly Pear, and once that was dry I used Barry M - White for the dots, done using a dotting tool. Then I topped it off with a coat of Seche Vite
Everyone's nails! |
