Review Week, Day Two: Barry M Silk Collection Swatches and Review

Hey everyone! So for day 2 of review week I have the amazing new Barry M silk collection. I'm so excited to be able to review this because it's such a unique collection. When I saw images of the bottles I assumed it was just another shimmer collection, but these polishes dry matte, and that truly makes them unique.

First up is Heather*, which is a gorgeous lilac, this was 2 coats but I could have probably got away with one

Next is Meadow*, this was 2 easy coats without topcoat

Then we have Mist*, a lovely sky blue shimmer, this was 2 easy coats

This was Pearl* and was 3 thin coats, but I really really debated leaving it at two, which would have probably been enough, I'm just over zealous

Next is Truffle*, this was 2 coats, and although it was slightly harder to manage than the rest it still evened out

Finally is my favourite from the collection, Blossom, true to it's name and it looks great matte. This was 2 easy thin coats

Overall I'm really impressed, these dry quickly and I absolutely love the matte effect. I'd definitely recommend getting a few of these at least because the matte effect makes them really unique and they're more opaque than most shimmers. These will be available in Superdrug from tomorrow (12th February) and Boots from February 19th.

What do you think? Let me know in the comments!

  11. I cannot wait to purchase some of these. I think my fave colours are the pink, white, blue and green. what tips to you have to stop them from chipping easy? As I always find my polish chips easy, dunno what I'm doing wrong.

  15. For some reason 'satin' type finishes make my fingers look a bit greasy - sounds weird haha but I am sooo tempted by these, they look fab on your nails!
