You will need:
Black nail varnish
Black acrylic paint (not compulsory)
Grey nail varnish
2 shades of green nail varnish
Fast drying topcoat
Small pieces of sponge
Small brush
Step 1: Paint your nails black, I used Barry M's black
Step 2: Outline using a small brush and grey nail varnish (I used Collection 2000's 'Angel Wings') where you want the gravestones to be and then fill in using the brush from the
nail varnish
Step 3: Using the small brush and either black acrylic paint
or black nail varnish paint on the letters. You could also use a toothpick or a small
dotting tool for this if you would like. Tip: if you paint it before it's fully dried it will give it a more engraved look!
Step 4: Using a ripped up
sponge dipped in green nail varnish dab the lighter green on to the bottom of the nail (I used Models Own- Lime Green) and then once that is dry dab over it in a darker green (I used China Glaze - Gaga for Green). I showed
you how to do this in my autumn tutorial
Step 5: Finish off with a fast drying topcoat to seal in
your design (I used Seche Vite) and you’re done!
Hope you liked this tutorial! If you try it out you can tweet me @onenailtorule, post it on my Facebook, or tag me on tumblr, I track the tags 'onenailtorulethemall' and 'one nail to rule them all'
