Day at Nail Harmony UK

Hey everyone! So last month I was kindly invited down to Nail Harmony UK HQ to learn how to do gel nails with Gelish. I had a brilliant day there and met great new bloggers like Lex from Talonted Lex, Em from My Pale Skin, Cat from Perfectly Polished, and Metta from Nails by Mets. It was also nice to see Lucy and Sammy (from Lucy's Stash and The Nailasaurus) again. Stupidly, I forgot to take a camera, so thankyou very very much to Lucy for all these images, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to write a post!

The day started with some pastries and drinks, after a welcome from Georgie (head of Nail Harmony UK!) and Ezara (PR representative), which I definitely appreciated after a hellish journey that morning! The room was all prepared for us as you can see below, with tools and a lamp each for us all. We worked together in pairs so that we could practice on each other, I worked with Lucie and you can see the results of our work after the jump!

There was also this envious wall of Gelish nail polish racks which looked amazing in the room!

Learning the anatomy of the nail

All of us as a group chatting
After having a lesson on the anatomy of the nail, and general health and safety, Georgie taught us how to do a basic Gelish manicure (by demonstrating on me) and then left us to practice ourselves

Once we'd practiced the basic manicure, Georgie showed us how to create a French Manicure, I was really proud of how mine on Lucie turned out (see last picture), especially as it was the first I'd ever done!

After that we learnt how to use the Gelish magnetic gel polish. I've never used normal magnetic polish so I was a bit sceptical but it actually looked really cool!

Lucie's work on me

My work on Lucie (apart from the pointer finger which Georgie did) - I was very proud of the french tip!

Thankyou again to Nail Harmony for having me, I had such a good day and I learnt so much, and it was lovely to meet some new bloggers and see Lucie and Sammy again!

What do you think? Let me know in the comments!
